Anike made a vow to a dying friend. To fulfil it, she has to leave her homeland, but her journey draws her into a conflict between immortals.

Her journey takes her to a new land, where ancient secrets are concealed from the world, slavers ply their trade and abominations hide behind the most innocent of eyes.
